You guys know about King David but do you really know his story & how he became the man God created him to be?
He was a Shepherd boy–tending to goats & sheep…a job not many people would choose to do.
He had 7 other brothers that LOOKED like they had it together–ready for status….But God loves to use the LEAST obvious person to do a GREAT work for Him.
God was looking to anoint someone to do a great work and everyone assumed the other brothers were more cut out for the job. A sacrificial ceremony took place, EVERYONE was in attendance BUT David didn’t even get an invite.
BUT THAT’S WHO GOD WANTED!
You may not get invited to everything…Everyone else may not see your potential, kick you to the curb or don’t think you have what it takes but His word says, “The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7).
My husband has worked so hard & has been often overlooked for jobs, promotions, positions, etc…BUT God has kept him, blessed him & sees him! At just the right time, his name will be called–while he’s out training NBA players for free, giving free advice, giving up jobs bc he thought of someone else who would be a great fit & just being an all around selfless & thoughtful person…and doing all the things OTHER people don’t want to do…But God NEVER forgets about those type of people.
Don’t worry about everyone else getting “blessed”–your promotion has already been decided, it’s just a matter of time before man sees it!
