God is faithful!
God is faithful!

The book of repenting or taking a class called Repentance 101 doesn’t exist but there are some ways that it’s viewed and executed so let’s take a look:
The worldly definition of repent vs repentance God’s way.

The world: to feel sorry, self-reproachful, or contrite for past conduct; regret or be conscience stricken about a past action, attitude, etc.

To repent God’s way: to have a change of heart and mind about past actions, and attitudes that were apart from God.

Did you take notice that in the definition of repent the word past is mentioned. Repenting already accepts those ways that you’re sorry for or that you regret as a past action, a past attitude…It already accepts everything you are repenting for as your past.

Unlike the world, Repenting and doing it God’s way is nothing to be ashamed of having to do. It’s not feeling guilty, although you may, it’s not feeling like I’m such an awful person, although you may, but feelings have nothing to do with accepting God into your life….but rather if any feeling was needed to be involved it should be the feeling of grace…knowing that you are loved by someone who already decided that when you decided to follow Jesus, he would already be available to you.
It’s the good news that before we ever had or was given the opportunity to repent to God “Christ died for us while we were still sinners. This demonstrates God’s love for us.”Romans 5:8.

He already made the provision, He already paved the road to salvation ahead of time for all of us that would believe in Jesus.

He already accepted me just as I am and had no problem with that because he already knew that He would be greater in me than he that’s in the world.
He already knew that he began a good work in me and would be faithful to complete it. He already knew that Jesus would be the author and finisher of our faith.
“I know the plans that I have for you, declares the LORD. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope.”Jeremiah 29:11

Me, I’m NOT like the person who says” Lord I don’t know why you love me I don’t know why you did it for me, I’m not worthy”
But
I’m like the person who says” I thank you lord for loving me and I’m so glad you did and I receive your goodness, you don’t have to tell me twice!”
